FINAL MOCKUP DESIGN

CHALENGGES

Key Challenges in Nationwide Training Management

The main problems that became my reference in making this application design are as follows
Centralizing Training for a Nationwide Organization

With a large, geographically distributed workforce, POLRI relied on fragmented training methods, resulting in inconsistent quality, limited learning visibility, and challenges in maintaining standardized competencies.

Organizational Challenges in Training Management

POLRI faced inefficient, manual-heavy training processes, lacked a centralized system to monitor learning progress and outcomes, and had limited access to reliable learning data for informed strategic decision-making.

User Challenges in Learning and Training Experience

Police personnel and instructors struggled with limited access to learning materials, scattered training information, and unstructured learning experiences, while instructors spent too much time on administrative tasks instead of teaching.

PROJECT GOALS

Building a Scalable, Data-Driven Learning Platform

How might we design a centralized and scalable LMS that enables POLRI members to access structured learning easily, reduces instructors’ administrative workload, and provides management with actionable learning insights?

USER INTERVIEW

Analysis of User Interview Results

To gain a deeper understanding of user behavior within the market, and due to limited timeline and budget, in-depth interviews were conducted with key stakeholders from POLRI, representing three main user groups: police personnel, instructors/trainers, and management/administrators.
Key Insight: After collecting the survey results, I listed 3 key findings. Here's what was decided after discussing the survey results
Accessbility & Availability

POLRI personnel need flexible 24/7 access to learning across web and mobile devices due to geographical constraints and unpredictable operational schedules.

Administrative & Efficiency

Instructors and administrators need task automation to reduce repetitive work and focus on teaching quality and strategic planning, saving up to 50–60% of their time.

Visibility & Control

Management needs a centralized, real-time dashboard to monitor competencies, support data-driven planning, and respond quickly to training needs.

IDEATION

Collect Insight & Brainstorming

During an hour long "brainjam" session with the Product Manager. We identified three main focus areas to be implemented in this project.
Improving Learning Accessibility and Flexibility

Multi-device access, offline learning, and intuitive navigation enable learning anytime, anywhere.

Streamlining Training Efficiency Through Automation

Automation and reusable tools streamline course management, reduce repetitive tasks, and allow instructors and administrators to focus on delivering high-quality training.

Data-Driven Insights for Smarter Training

Real-time analytics and predictive tools give visibility into competencies and engagement, supporting informed decisions and personalized learning paths.
